Site Launch: Greenblatt Law LLC’s New Website

Posted by on March 7th, 2018

hasOptimization is proud to announce the launch of a new site for Greenblatt Law, LLC, a family, matrimonial, and divorce attorney in New York City. This site was a very interesting ride. Our client, Elysa Greenblatt, was running a SquareSpace website. While we have no problem with clients making DIY websites, SquareSpace has some issues, especially in regards to SEO, site speed, and other problems. Blogging is not easy on SquareSpace, and Elysa wanted to start doing some blogging. Elysa had done an excellent job creating a slick, modern web presence for herself, however SquareSpace, with its known issues, also…

3 (And then some) Of Our Favorite WordPress Plugins

Posted by on February 19th, 2018

We build a lot of WordPress pages. A lot of them. In fact, WordPress is our preferred page building method due to the sheer versatility of everything. WordPress has only gotten better with time, and many users will find WordPress to be intuitive and easy to use — even for beginners. Because of this, we’re often weighing out if we should use plugins, and which ones we should use. Here are a few of our favorites we use: Contact Form 7 The top most installed contact form plugin on the WordPress plugin repository. There’s no wonder on this one, though….

What is going on, WordPress? Why are my images being compressed?

Posted by on January 31st, 2018

I just went through an interesting couple of hours. On top of being a web developer, social media manager, and general many-hatted SEO adventurer, I’m also a freelance illustrator. Anyone who is an illustrator, photographer, or visual artist knows that image quality is really, really important — especially when displaying portfolios and the like. It’s with this in mind when I’m developing for visually creative clients that I keep quality in my thoughts always (as well as compression optimization keeping the page load speed in mind). I ran into something very curious, though. I noticed on my own portfolio website,…

Site Launch: Break Free 603

Posted by on January 4th, 2018

Break Free 603 LLC is an escape room in Amherst, NH. The owner, Keith, did a fantastic job using MobiRise to create a nice starter website with necessary information. We call it a “starter” site, because as you know, in-browser website builders usually aren’t all that great. He did a good job of getting the information out on the web so people could find him and the escape room. With that being said, there were some issues. He wanted us to take over updating the website as he couldn’t commit to constantly updating the website. The problem with this was…

Site Launch: EcoSource LLC

Posted by on December 15th, 2017

EcoSource LLC, who provides cleaning services to business of all sizes in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, became a hasOptimization client in the summer of 2017. When we take on new clients, we often “inherit” sites that can be plagued with problems. Most of the time, sites can easily be modified or “fixed” to bring them up to speed. With EcoSource, we inherited an older WordPress-based site. While it was great that it was WordPress, it hadn’t been updated in roughly five years. That meant it was running a very old version of WordPress. While many issues can sometimes be resolved…

How to track contact form 7 submissions using Google Analytics

Posted by on August 2nd, 2017

This blog post has been a long time in the making. There are a variety of Contact Form 7 “fixes” to get submissions to show on Google Analytics, but seemingly none of them work. It used to be as simple as dropping a bit of code into the “additional settings” in the contact form, but no longer. It’s taken some time to figure out exactly how this can be done — and actually work — so I’d like to share the various solutions for fixing this. This blog post is dated July 20th, 2017; changes may occur in the future…

The team at hasOptimization is proud to present to you our latest website overhaul. Abington Aesthetic Laser and Medical Center is a client out of Philadelphia, PA specializing in non-invasive cosmetic laser surgery including hair removal, tattoo removal, and more. With a lot to offer, Abington Aesthetic had a site that needed some major updates to showcase their current range of services to clients and potential customers. Abington Aesthetic’s old site was a basic HTML website. It was billed as being a bit too “grey” by the client. Back when it was originally built, it may have been a sleek…

Site Launch: Restoration Management’s New Site

Posted by on April 12th, 2017

hasOptimization is pleased to announce the release of a new client website! We have been working with Restoration Management LLC for some time to improve general web presence as well as managing their social media profiles for their damage restoration company. We were excited to hear that they wanted to go ahead with a new webpage to showcase the variety of services they offer. Restoration Management’s old website was a basic HTML website created in 2012. While a basic HTML website is great for load speeds and ultimate customization, this site was out of date and had suffered some malicious…

Site Launch: Fire & Rescue Institute

Posted by on April 2nd, 2017

This one has been a bit of a journey. Let me take you back, back, back… to 2014. That’s when Rod Towne from the Fire and Rescue Institute first approached us about developing a website! Now, normally a site development project takes a few weeks to a few months, but due to a number of changes and other responsibilities at FRI, this one was in production for almost three years. The hasOptimization team was happy to stick with FRI and keep motivating them to flesh out content and make decisions, and now, finally… We can announce the launch of FRI’s very…
