GoDaddy: Possibly the Worst Web Hosting Company Available?

Posted by on January 26th, 2019

The other day I was minding my own business, watching Comedy Central via their app, when I caught sight of it. It was a hip, catchy, quick-cut ad for “easy to use” websites hosted on GoDaddy. While the ad may have been pretty, cut together nicely, showcase some OK looking sites on it, and have a cool audio track, GoDaddy’s hosting is anything but nice. We are often tasked with inheriting sites from clients that were either self-created or set up by someone else, and a lot of the times they are hosted on GoDaddy. Why is GoDaddy such a…

MonsterInsights GA Plugin v 7.4 Removes Manual Authentication

Posted by on January 16th, 2019

Something interesting happened this morning, as they sometimes do. Monster Insights, the popular Google Analytics integration plugin for WordPress, released an updated version of their plugin (as they often do). One of the biggest challenges we face when making sites for clients is when they don’t have a clear vision for what they are looking for. In this instance, CCTV New England didn’t have a prior website, a logo, content, or even a preferred color scheme at the time we were to make design suggestions….

Gutenberg Snag: White Text on White Background – How to Fix

Posted by on December 12th, 2018

Gutenberg has been out for… Like all of a week now. While it’s sometimes breaking things and sometimes working A-okay, there are some weird bugs that are popping up here and there while we wait for theme authors and plugin authors to roll out adjustments to their items to make Gutenberg work as seamlessly as possible. One issue I ran into was a curious one – white on white text in the backend.
